Recently, the APLMF Training Course on Verification and Type Approval for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) was held in Changsha, Hunan Province. The course was organized by APLMF and co-organized by the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), the National Institute of Metrology (NIM), China, and the Administration for Market Regulation of Hunan Province. Participants included representatives from more than ten APLMF member economies, as well as officials from market regulatory authorities across China's provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. TUNKIA hosted the practical training on metrological verification of electric vehicle charging facilities.

Day 1: Opening Ceremony and Seminar

Following the opening ceremony, participants discussed metrology technologies, regulatory practices, and verification procedures for EVSE, as well as the latest progress in evolving OIML G 22 into an international recommendation for EVSE.

Day 2: Hands-on Training and Technical Exchange

As one of the supporting organizations, Tunkia Co., Ltd. hosted the on-site metrological verification training for EVSE at its campus.

The training featured three types of verification instruments—the TE1100 EVSE Tester, TK4850E DC EV Charger Tester, and TE1000 EV Charger Energy Standard. Tunkia instructors delivered systematic instruction covering appearance, wiring, functions, and operating procedures. Following the lectures, participants conducted hands-on group drills, performing complete verification processes using both GB-standard and EU-standard EV chargers and verification equipment. During the session, participants raised questions on equipment pricing, verification standards, software settings, and anti-fraud mechanisms—all of which were thoroughly answered by the Tunkia technical team, who also provided on-the-spot demonstrations of key procedures.

In the afternoon seminar, experts delivered presentations on "New Technologies for DC Electrical Energy Metering of EVSEs" and "Research and Application of Remote Metering for EVSE Based on Massive Operational Data". This was followed by a summary discussion and a certificate ceremony. The event concluded with closing remarks from representatives of APLMF, the organizers, and the participants.

This seminar provided a valuable platform for experience sharing and technical exchange among Asia-Pacific economies in the field of EVSE metrology. TUNKIA will continue to leverage its expertise in electromagnetic measurement technologies and instruments to support international metrology cooperation and exchange.
