1. Overview of TY2100 Surface Magnetic Field Automatic Testing System

The TY2100 is a fully automated system designed for measuring surface magnetic field distribution of permanent magnets and motor rotors. It consists of a test platform (with built-in digital teslameter, 3-axis probe positioning device, rotary chuck, and motion controller), an optional plane sample fixture, a computer, and software.

It performs fully automated 3D scanning of sample surfaces, automatically calculates surface magnetic field distribution, magnetic parameters of each pole, and plots magnetic distribution curves.

Technical Specifications

3. Operation of TY2100 Surface Magnetic Field Automatic Testing System

3.1 Installing the Three-Jaw Chuck

Install the three-jaw chuck first for placing the sample. The user can follow the following instructions: All jaw slots and jaws are marked with numbers 1, 2, and 3. Locate the notch at the bottom of slot 1 and position jaw 1 into the notch. Then install jaws 2 and 3 into their corresponding numbered slots.

When the jaws are places properly, rotate the chuck wrench. If all three jaws align perfectly, the installation is successful and the preparation if ready.

3.2 Ring Sample Testing

When using TY2100 Surface Magnetic Field Automatic Testing System to test ring sample, firstly, use the chuck wrench to rotate the jaws to a suitable position. Then the user can install and secure the ring sample.

The next step is to adjust the test probe position to a correct place. The user can choose motor step mode between coarse or fine adjustment on the touchscreen of the device. Then use the chuck control keys on the front panel to adjust the position of the probe. The purpose is to ensure the probe contacts the sample surface.

Note that when placing chuck and jaws, the user should avoid direct hand contact with the chuck or jaws during installation to prevent rust.

3.3 Software Operation

You can watch the operation video of TY2100 Surface Magnetic Field Automatic Field Testing System to learn about the software operation of this device.

How to Test Surface Magnetic Field of Hard Magnets and Motors Using Tunkia TY2100

Open the [Surface Magnetic Field Testing System] software on the computer. Set the [Standby Position] (probe position before and after testing). Set the [Test Position] (probe starting position when testing begins). After setup, keep the probe and sample stationary during testing.

If manually adjusted, reset positions in the software.

Configure parameters: [B Range], [Auto Probe Movement], [Measurement Mode], [Motion Axis], etc.

Click [System Parameters] to set communication port, serial parameters, and units.

Click [Motor Parameters] to set movement speed, scan speed, W-axis rotation speed, and X/Y/Z axis move sequence.

Click [User Parameters] to set pole judgment, magnetic field limit alerts, and threshold values for peak-valley difference/area/peak/width/half-height width.

Click [Start Test] to begin – the probe will move to the test position and starting testing.

Operation Video:

The system displays test data and curves in real-time, while calculating average value, range, and standard deviation.

After testing, the probe returns to the standby position.

Click [Management]-[Result File] to view: Cartesian coordinate curve, polar coordinate curve, 3D graph, magnetic pole data, statistical data, harmonic analysis, etc.

Users can choose to print or export test results.

Custom test plans can be saved and loaded for future use.

3.4 Block Sample Testing

For testing samples of other shapes, such as block samples, the operation is basically the same.

Firstly, Power off the device before replacing the test sample. Secure the test fixture and place the block sample onto it. Replace with an axial probe and adjust its position. And the user can begin measurement after ensuring the probe contacts the sample surface.
