TD1548 DC Energy Meter Comprehensive Verification Device

TD1548 is a comprehensive verification device for DC energy measurement. It consists of a precision DC voltage source, a DC current source, a DC small signal voltage source, a clock calibrator, a multi-function calibration bench, and fully automatic calibration software. It can not only verify conventional DC electrical measuring instruments, such as DC voltmeter/ammeter/power meter, but also verify DC shunts, direct access DC energy meters and indirect connected DC energy meters, as well as electric vehicle DC charger testers.

1. Summary

TD1548 is a comprehensive verification device for DC energy measurement. It consists of a precision DC voltage source, a DC current source, a DC small signal voltage source, a clock calibrator, a multi-function calibration bench, and fully automatic calibration software. It has the characteristics of wide measurement limit, high precision, high stability, multi-function, and excellent load capacity. It can not only verify conventional DC electrical measuring instruments, such as DC voltmeter/ammeter/power meter, but also verify DC shunts, direct access DC energy meters and indirect connected DC energy meters, as well as electric vehicle DC charger testers.


2. Features

The voltage/circuit measurement uncertainty is class 0.005.

The power/electric energy measurement uncertainty is class 0.01.

DC standard voltage source: 10 mV~1150 V / 1550 V (optional)

DC standard current source: 1 mA~600 A

DC four-wire small signal voltage source: 10 μV ~ 4.4 V

Supports the verification of three-position DC energy meters and DC shunts.

Supports single-position electric vehicle DC charger tester calibration.

Standard electric energy pulse input/output, used to test working errors of electric energy meters.

Auxiliary power supply, used to provide power supply for Class A electric energy meters.

Standard second pulse measurement, used to test daily timing errors of electric energy meters.

Mobile measurement and control console, the output can be observed or controlled through the LCD touch screen.

3. Application


☆ Calibrate DC Standard Energy Meter

l Application 1: The maximum DC voltage output is 1550 V, which meets the requirements of the 1.15 Un voltage test of the 1 kV electric energy meter; the maximum DC current output is 600 A, which meets the requirements of the 1.2 In current test of the 100 A electric energy meter. With the power pulse measurement function, it can complete the test of direct connected DC energy meter.

l Application 2: The instrument has a four-wire small signal voltage source of 10 μV ~ 4.4 V, coupled with a 1550 V DC voltage source and energy pulse measurement function, it can carry out testing related to indirect connected DC energy meters.

l Application 3: The instrument supports a maximum current output of 600 A, and with a 1550 V DC voltage source and energy pulse measurement function, it can carry out testing work related to the indirect connected DC energy meter and the DC shunt as a whole.

l Verification items: basic error, starting test, latent movement test, instrument constant test, clock daily timing error.

While the technical specifications of TD1548 cover mainstream specifications of DC energy meter test instruments, the voltage/current measurement uncertainty reaches 0.005%, and the power/electric energy measurement uncertainty reaches 0.01%, meeting the DC standard energy meter calibration requirements.


☆ Calibrate DC Shunts

l DC High Current Standard Source: the maximum output reaches 600 A, which can be used as the primary current input of the DC shunt.

l DC Small Signal Voltmeter: supports voltage input range from 10 μV to 4.4 V, and can measure the secondary output voltage of the shunt.

l Special Low Thermoelectric Potential Wires And Terminal Blocks: effectively reduce the measurement uncertainty caused by contact potential and thermoelectric potential.

l Manual Crimping Device For Shunts: manually press the current terminals of the shunt and connect them to the current source to form a current loop.

DC Shunt Calibration and Testing: The resistance and basic error of the shunt can be measured, and the R(t) curve can be drawn to provide an effective testing method for analyzing the shunt parameters.


☆ Calibrate DC EV Charger Tester

The DC voltage output can reach up to 1550 V, and the DC current output can reach up to 600 A. It has a standard DC charger interface, and with the power pulse measurement function, it can complete the calibration of the DC EV charger tester.

Advantages: It avoids the need to use additional adapters for connection during the calibration experiment of the DC EV charger tester, simplifies the experimental wiring operation, and improves efficiency.



☆ Calibrate DC Measuring Instruments

l Calibrate DC Voltmeters and Ammeters: The device has a built-in DC voltage standard source with an output range of 10 mV to 1550 V and a DC current standard source with an output range of 1 mA to 600 A. The voltage and current accuracy of the device reaches 0.005%, which is suitable for calibrating DC voltmeter or ammeter with accuracy of 0.02% and below.

l Calibrate DC Power Meter: a virtual power standard source composed of independent output of DC voltage and current, and the accuracy of the device reaches 0.01%. It is suitable for calibrating DC power meters with accuracy of 0.05% and below.

Advantages: It integrates a multi-functional DC standard source with excellent accuracy and stability indicators. It can be regarded as a mobile small DC electrical laboratory. By purchasing this instrument, users can cover the calibration of commonly used DC instruments, which is beneficial to reducing the user's initial investment and is both practical and economical.

It features a built-in high-definition display for easy observation and recording of meter status during testing.

Mobile console, which can observe or control the value output through its LCD touch screen.

☆ Four-Wire Small Signal Voltage Source

l Four-wire Small Signal Voltage Source: It can accurately output ± (10 μV ~ 4.4 V) small signal voltage signal as the current input of the indirect-connected DC energy meter (the shunt specifications can be set and displayed according to its primary current).

Advantages: It adopts a four-wire Kelvin connection method and is equipped with low thermoelectric potential terminal blocks and wires. Compared with the traditional two-wire voltage source, it can effectively eliminate the influence of wire resistance, contact potential and thermoelectric potential on the measurement.



☆ Diverter Manual Crimping Device

l Manual Crimping Device for Shunts: Manually press the current terminals of the shunt under inspection and connect them with the current source to form a current loop; with the DC small signal voltage measurement function, it can calibrate the DC shunt.

Advantages: Compared with traditional wiring, the crimping device effectively improves the convenience of test operations.



☆ Clock Verification Function

The built-in clock module with an accuracy of 0.2 ppm can accurately measure the second pulse signal and conduct daily timing error testing.

It has a built-in GPS module and can be connected to an antenna to receive the GPS standard clock signal and synchronize the DC energy meter to Beijing time. With high-precision time scale, it is convenient for statistics and test analysis.


☆ Auxiliary Power Supply

l Each meter unit has a built-in auxiliary power supply, which can provide DC 24 V or AC 220 V power supply for Class A energy meters.

Advantages: It has built-in AC and DC voltage sources required for the calibration of Class A electric energy meters. The AC and DC power output can be satisfied through a pair of power supply terminals, which not only reduces the initial investment, but also simplifies the wiring operation.
