Front and Rear Panel of TA4300
The TA4300 adopts an intuitive front and rear panel layout for convenient operation.
Users can easily switch between three-phase three-wire and three-phase four-wire configurations, select phase sequence (ABC/CBA), and adjust the frequency and range settings.
The graphical user interface provides multiple function views, including:
• Power Quality Interface for choosing test items such as harmonics, interharmonics, flicker, transient harmonics, voltage dips/interruptions, three-phase unbalance
• Power Interface showing voltage, current, phase, and power data
• Power Analysis Interface offering phasor diagrams, trend charts, and stability analysis
• Energy Error Calculation Interface for meter calibration

1. Calibration of Power Quality Analyzers
The TA4300 can simulate a variety of power quality disturbances to verify analyzer performance:
• Harmonic Test:
Generate harmonics of specific orders and amplitudes, such as adding 10 % of the 2nd and 3rd harmonics to a 100 V/1 A output.
After stabilization, the device under test (DUT) measures the harmonic components for consistency verification.
• Interharmonic Test:
Output interharmonic signals, e.g., 3 % amplitude of the 2nd order, to check DUT detection accuracy.
• Flicker Test:
Generate periodic amplitude fluctuations (sine or square wave), and measure both short-term and long-term flicker values on the DUT.
• Voltage Swell and Sag Test:
Simulate voltage dips or interruptions by adjusting amplitude and duration (e.g., 5 s interruption).
The DUT should accurately record voltage fluctuation events.
• Three-phase Unbalance Test:
Output unbalanced voltages or currents (e.g., 50 V/5 A, 2 % unbalance) and verify DUT response through numerical comparison among phases.
2. Calibration of Energy Meters (Energy Error)
The TA4300 can also function as a precision AC energy source for energy meter calibration.
• Connect the voltage and current outputs, and connect the pulse input cable to the DUT.
• Set the output parameters (e.g., 220 V, 1.5 A).
• After pulse stabilization, the TA4300 automatically compares the DUT’s pulse count with the reference energy to calculate the average error.
• The system averages every 5 pulse readings and provides a final mean deviation for evaluation.
For enhanced productivity, the TA4300 supports automated calibration software — the Power Quality Analyzer Calibration System.
Users can:
• Select calibration standards and test schemes
• Configure DUT parameters and system settings
• Define test points and start fully automated calibration
• Choose operation modes (e.g., voltage, current, power)
• Automatically record readings, determine pass/fail status, and generate calibration reports in customizable templates
This software enables efficient, traceable, and standardized testing workflows.
The TA4300 Power Quality Calibrator integrates advanced signal generation, precision measurement, and automation into one platform.
It offers a complete solution for testing and calibrating power quality analyzers, energy meters, and related electrical instruments, ensuring traceable accuracy and consistent performance across a wide range of applications.
