TD3500 Single-phase Energy Meters Verification Device

TD3500 is applied for verification of single-phase energy meters. It mainly consists of single-phase precision standard power source, verification platform, measurement and control platform, PC(optional) and verification software. TD3500 supports simultaneous verification of 6 ~ 24 single-phase electricity/mechanical energy meters with the same voltage/current range, different meter constant.

1. Summary

TD3500 is a dedicated verification device for the initial and subsequent verification of single-phase energy meters. It mainly consists of a single-phase precision standard power source, a multi-position meter test bench, a control console, an optional computer, and dedicated software. Available in two accuracy classes—0.05 and 0.1—it utilizes the high stability and high accuracy output of the standard power source, combined with specialized computer software, to support fully automatic simultaneous verification of 6 to 24 electromechanical or electronic single-phase energy meters with identical voltage/current ranges but different meter constants.

3. Features

3.1 Basic Features

  • Maximum Output Capacity: 264 V / 120 A, fundamental frequency range 45 Hz to 100 Hz.

  • Minimum Current Output: As low as 1 mA, serving as the basis for start-up tests of meters under test.

  • Automatic Range Switching: Voltage and current outputs support fully automatic range switching and automatic load matching.

  • Multifunctional Energy Measurement: Supports multiple energy measurement modes, including forward and reverse active energy and reactive energy.

  • Daily Timing Error Test: Built-in standard clock tester with a daily timing error limit of ±0.05 s/d.

  • Automatic Meter Scanning: Supports automatic scanning and automatic short-circuiting of vacant meter positions.

  • Clamping Terminal Wiring: Equipped with a dedicated meter clamping rack compatible with State Grid and Southern Grid installation-type meters for fast testing; non-standard meters can be tested by adjusting terminal posts or manual wiring.

  • Communication Interface: Supports communication with meters under test via RS-485 port, compatible with DL/T 698 and DL/T 645 protocols.

  • Energy Pulse Interface: Equipped with electrical pulse and optical pulse sampling ports.

  • Management Platform Interface: Complies with State Grid and Southern Grid metering production management platform requirements and uploads test data according to interface protocols.

  • Multi-Position Test Bench: Optional 6, 12, 16, or 24 meter positions, each with power output, energy pulse, and communication interfaces.

  • Mobile Control Console: Provides observation and control of output values through an LCD touchscreen, facilitating manual meter testing.

  • Dedicated Calibration Software: Supports semi-automatic and fully automatic calibration of meters under test, data management, and certificate export. Features include multi-point repeated testing, configurable test intervals, and automatic error curve plotting.

  • Resume Test Function: In case of power failure or restart, the software supports resuming tests from the last recorded error point.

  • High Reliability: Output channels offer strong electrical protection, support fault localization and recovery, and provide excellent maintainability.

3.2 Optional Features

  • Harmonic Output: Supports loading 2nd to 21st harmonics at 50 Hz / 60 Hz, with adjustable harmonic amplitude and phase to perform harmonic influence tests.

  • Reference Meter: Optional 0.05 class or 0.02 class standard energy meter available.

  • Bluetooth: Optional Bluetooth communication with master-slave mode, supporting one-to-one Bluetooth communication with meters under test.

  • Optical Probe: Optional clamp-on optical probe for collecting optical pulse signals.

  • PC and Workbench: Space for placing PC, printer, reference meters, etc., with customizable workbench dimensions available.
