TS1700 Surface Insulation Resistance Measuring System for Electrical Steel

TS1700 is a special instrument for measuring the surface insulation resistance of electrical steel sheet. The instrument supports manual turning over to measure the interlayer resistance of electrical steel. The reference standard is IEC60404-11.

1. Summary

TS1700 is a specialized system for measuring the insulation resistance performance of electrical steel sheet coatings.
It mainly consists of a test unit (including 10 contact points and metal rods/conductive rubber contacts, drill bit, electric cylinder, specimen tray, etc.), a measurement console, a system verification standard device, a computer, and testing software.

  • TS1700-A uses the Franklin method to automatically measure the surface      insulation resistance coefficient of single electrical steel sheet.

  • TS1700-B adopts Tunkia’s patented conductive rubber contacts to automatically      measure the surface insulation resistance coefficient of single electrical      steel sheet, allowing soft contact between the contact points and the specimen.      Compared to the Franklin method, this approach offers higher repeatability      and comparability.

The system also supports manual flipping of specimens for measuring the interlayer resistance coefficient of electrical steel sheets.


2. Features

  • Built-in DC stabilized power supply and precision current measurement unit, the measurement uncertainty is up to 0.1%.

  • The voltage value can be stabilized at 500 mV during each measurement, and the loop current is measured synchronously, range: 0 ~ 1.2 A.

  • Contact execution structure: It consists of 2 auger bits, 10 metal rods with contacts, and pressure devices.

  • Standard contact (standard recommendation): The area of a single contact is about 64.5 mm2, and the total area of 10 is 645 mm2.

  • Optional contact (optional): The area of a single contact is about 100 mm2, and the total area of 10 is 1000 mm2.

  • The drill has good sharpness and can easily pierce the surface coating of electrical steel under certain pressure.

  • The drill bit and the metal rod of the contact are driven by an electric cylinder and move synchronously in the vertical direction to contact the sample for testing.

  • During the test, the surface pressure of a single contact is about 2 N/mm2, and the pressure sensor is equipped to monitor the applied pressure in real time.

  • Sample tray: it can drive the sample to move back and forth to find multiple different test areas and obtain multiple sets of test data. 1 to 5 groups of test points can be set through the software.

  • System verification standard device: equipped with standard resistance circuit board for daily verification of the system.

  • Mobile test console: Set test parameters through LCD touch screen, observe test status and results, easy to use.

  • Professional testing software: In addition to setting parameters and placing samples, other testing processes can be completed automatically through the software.

  • The software can display the voltage value, current value and pressure value of the test in real time, and record each group of test data.
